Lauren Mills, CGC

Lauren Mills holds a Master of Science degree in genetic counseling from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. As a genetic counselor, Mills works with individuals with a personal and/or family history of cancer to provide genetic risk assessment and identification of hereditary cancer syndromes, coordinate genetic testing and educate the patient regarding future cancer risks and medical management options. In addition, she provides supportive psychosocial counseling for individuals and family members with hereditary cancer syndromes. Mills is currently accepting referrals for the Cancer Genetics Program’s High Risk Cancer Screening Clinic at the Mays Cancer Center, home to UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson. The Cancer Genetics Program is in partnership with UT Health Physicians and the University Hospital System to provide services to individuals and families in Central and South Texas.
