About This Event
Mays Cancer Center at UT Health San Antonio invites you to join us for the San Antonio Liver Cancer Symposium on October 20-21, 2023, at the Hilton San Antonio Hill Country. Take the opportunity to learn about new insights and advances in important areas of research and treatment. This meeting provides an invaluable opportunity to interact and network with colleagues in the field of liver cancer.
This two-day symposium will offer stimulating talks and interactive panel discussions that aim to foster collaborations and further advance the field of liver cancer. This meeting will cover the epidemiology of liver cancer, as well as pre-clinical, translational and clinical advances in treating this disease, including survivorship and liver cancer in pediatric patients. The liver cancer community and interested physicians, researchers and providers are encouraged to attend.
Topics include:
- Controversies in transplantation.
- Development of community liver cancer programs.
- Personalized programs for non-viral versus viral hepatitis/cirrhosis.
- Overview of the current therapeutic landscape for hepatocellular carcinoma.
- Shifting paradigms in locoregional treatments: Surgical approaches, interventional radiology, transplant.

Titles should be no more than 120 characters with spaces.
The size limit for the abstract (including title, body and tables) is 3400 characters. This does not include spaces.Abstract Categories:

- The lead/main author listed on the abstract must be registered and present at the conference
- Accepted abstracts - Presenters will be notified by e-mail in September 2023.
- If accepted for a poster, presenters are responsible for the production and printing of their poster. Instructions for poster printing will be sent to accepted abstracts.
- All accepted posters will be able to be presented during the evening Poster Session on Friday, October 20, 2023.
